CTR Group is seeking Mechanical Trades Helpers for a Government Site in Williamsburg, VA. Two Positions Available!

Former or Recent Navy Specialists or Boatswain's Mates ideal!

Pay Range; $17.20 - $21.61 per hour

SUMMARY:

Assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill, such as keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools, cleaning work areas, machinery and equipment Will assist journeyman by holding materials or tools and perform other tasks as directed by journeymen or supervisor. The kind of work the helper is permitted to perform varies from task to task. The helper may be confined to supplying, lifting and holding materials and tools and cleaning working area, or be permitted to perform specialized machine operations or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers in a skilled trade. May perform after hours, weekend and emergency response services as required to include overnight travel. Will handle weights up to 100 pounds, average of 50 pounds.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Position requires experience in assisting tradesmen or journeymen in the areas of rigging, mechanics, boat handling, machinery, electrical or preventive maintenance.
• Former or recent Navy personnel with mechanical skills strongly preferred.
• In addition to assisting others, must be able to complete parts of a trade independently.
• Must be able to perform after hours, weekend and emergency response services to include overnight travel.
