Synerfac is seeking a Machine Operator/Laborer for our client in Newport News, VA. Our client is a leader in custom precision sheetmetal manufacturing on the East Coast.

Duties Include:
* Use CNC or manual machines to punch, shear, or bend flat bar or sheet metal;
* Use CNC machine orhand tools to insert hardware;
* Set up, clean and maintain tooling;
* Check parts produced for dimensional accuracy;
* Produce the maximum number of parts in minimum time by working efficiently;
* Material handling, using forklift and pallet jack, and by hand, preparing work area for next job;
* Count and stack finished parts;
* Deburr parts;
* Monitor quality during production;
* Maintain equipment & troubleshooting malfunctions;
* Other tasks as required;
* Follow company procedures and safety rules.

Job Requirements

* 2+ years of experience setting up and operating machines in a manufacturing equipment;
* Be able to read basic blueprints;
* Be able to use calipers and other precision measuring tools(rulers, measuring tapes)
* be able to use Microsoft Windows;
* be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers as needed;
* be able to lift up to 100 lbs;
* be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movements;
* be able to work in cold or hot temperatures in plant;
* have excellent attendance.
