Duration: 6 months and then converted Permanent

Required Skills & Experience

• -Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (equivalent experience is ok)
• -Proven experience (5+ years) in managing defense-related projects, particularly involving capital goods or equipment
• -Strong understanding of USA Department of Defense (DoD) CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) requirements and the ability to ensure projects comply with these regulations.
• -Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation.
• -Extensive experience reviewing and negotiating complex defense contracts and ensuring compliance with legal and technical specifications.
• -Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• -Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and technical teams.
• -Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex project issues and challenges effectively.
• -Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a strong focus on results and client satisfaction.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• -A PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
• -Familiarity with defense procurement processes and supply chain management.
• -Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and compliance standards.
• -Experience in international defense projects or working with global teams.
• -Export controls compliance (ITAR and EAR)

Compensation: $50/hour to $58/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.

Job Description

A client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee defense-related projects in compliance with USA Defense CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing defense projects, particularly those involving capital goods or equipment. The Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that the projects are executed efficiently, meet customer specifications, adhere to schedules, and comply with regulatory standards. A strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract reviews is essential to successfully manage complex defense projects.

• -Lead and manage defense projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining compliance with USA Defense CMMC requirements.
• -Coordinate project teams, including engineers, designers, and external stakeholders, to meet project goals.
• -Ensure that project scopes, schedules, and budgets are adhered to and proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
• -Review and interpret complex engineering drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints to ensure project deliverables meet all technical requirements.
• -Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure project success and alignment with defense industry standards.
• -Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on defense contracts, ensuring alignment with legal, technical, and regulatory requirements.
• -Monitor and track project performance, preparing detailed progress reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
• -Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• -Maintain thorough knowledge of USA Defense CMMC requirements and ensure projects are in full compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• -Serve as primary relationship manager with third party IT Services provider.
