Checkered Flag Automotive Group is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA!

What Our Human Resources Coordinators Do

• Organize, maintain, and update employee HRIS information as needed in UKG (HR system).
• Compile weekly and monthly HR reports (payroll, benefits, talent acquisition).
• Support the full lifecycle of talent acquisition and on-boarding process for all employees which includes posting and closing jobs, preliminary screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
• Attend job and career fairs representing Checkered Flag in a professional manner.
• Assist with new hire orientation training program.
• Assist with benefits administration, which includes data entry, benefit packets, benefits meetings, and auditing invoices.
• Maintain employee files and documents for active and former employees.
• Assist with company social and volunteering events, other HR projects as needed.
• Provide customer service and assistance to employees and vendors by answering questions and requests.
• Administrative support for the department including invoices, business cards, name tags, and other employee requests.
• Provide support and guidance to the organization's departments regarding HR policies, processes, and best practices.

Your Pre-Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of general HR-related experience
• Working knowledge of HR concepts, practices, and procedures including recruiting, benefits, and leave
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• aPHR, PHR or SHRM-CP Certification a plus
• Experience with UKG or other HRIS applications
• Knowledge of the automotive industry a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, with a flexible start option.
