Position Overview

IHOP is looking for a detail-oriented and fast-paced Expeditor to join our team! As an Expeditor, you play a critical role in connecting the front and back of house—ensuring every plate leaves the kitchen accurate, hot, and beautifully presented.

You're the bridge between kitchen and service teams, keeping communication clear and timing sharp so guests receive their meals just the way they should. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love making things run smoothly behind the scene, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of food between the kitchen and servers, ensuring accuracy and presentation meet IHOP standards.
• Review and organize incoming orders, prioritizing ticket time and guest needs.
• Double-check each plate for correct items, modifications, and garnishes before it leaves the window.
• Communicate clearly with cooks and servers to maintain a smooth service rhythm.
• Keep the expo line stocked, clean, and organized throughout the shift.
• Monitor ticket times and alert management of any delays or issues.
• Maintain a positive, team-focused attitude—jumping in to assist where needed.
• Follow all company policies, food safety, and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required—training provided!
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a busy environment.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays.
