Overview:
Were looking for a dependable Safety Technician to support daily safety operations across multiple shipyard worksites. This role ensures a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA, NAVSEA, and company safety standards, conducting inspections, and supporting crews with hazard prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily safety walkthroughs, inspections, and audits throughout shipyard job sites.
• Monitor work areas for hazards and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide safety briefings, toolbox talks, and on-the-spot corrective guidance.
• Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and corrective action follow-up.
• Maintain documentation on inspections, PPE usage, training, and compliance.
• Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and project managers to resolve safety concerns quickly.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safe work practices at all times.

• Must have an active TWIC card or be eligible to obtain one.
• Previous shipyard or industrial safety experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, NAVSEA standards, and shipyard safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and observation skills.
• Ability to walk, climb, and stand for extended periods in a shipyard environment.
• Must be reliable, professional, and able to enforce safety standards respectfully and effectively.
