About the Job

We are currently seeking a dynamic and friendly, full-time Medical Assistantto join our busy OB/GYN practice. We are a well-established practice with 3 locations in the Hampton Roads area with 8 physicians, 2 physician assistants, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 3 certified midwives, and a full-time marriage and family therapist.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Obtain complete patient histories and vital signs.
• Room patients and assist providers with exams.
• Assist with in-office procedures; LEEP, colposcopies, hysteroscopic procedures, IUD insertion and removals, and Nexplanon placement.
• Perform non-stress tests.
• Administer Injections.
• HIPPA compliance.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

• EMR (AthenaNet) and OB/GYN experience are a must.
• Must be able to work independently and in a group setting.
• Efficiency and attention to detail.
• Solid critical thinking.
• Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
• Prioritize tasks appropriately and efficiently.
• Problem-solving skills; adaptable and flexible.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday (8 am - 5 pm)
• No nights, weekends, or major holidays.
• Travel between offices

Supervisor

• Reports to Clinical Supervisor.

Busy OB/GYN practice with 3 locations in the Norfolk, Downtown Norfolk and Chesapeake area. We have 9 physicians, 2 Physician Assistants, 1 Nurse Practitioner, and 5 Certified Nurse Midwives.
