Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Spring Boot Developer to join our team in New York City. This role requires strong backend development experience, working in a microservices environment, and integrating with frontend applications built using AngularJS. The client has a very stringent technical evaluation process, so candidates must be technically strong with hands-on coding experience.
This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work 3 days per week in NYC, and only local candidates from NY/NJ will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and support microservices-based architecture
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend integrations
• Collaborate with frontend developers working with AngularJS
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning
• Write clean, scalable, and high-performance code
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Follow best practices for security, performance, and maintainability
• Work in an Agile / Scrum development environment

• Strong hands-on experience with Java (8+)
• Strong experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with Microservices architecture
• Experience building REST APIs
• Experience with AngularJS integration
• Strong knowledge of SQL / relational databases
• Experience with Git / version control
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills

• Experience working with large enterprise clients
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
• Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
• Experience with Kafka or messaging systems

• Client technical screening is very strict - candidates must be very strong technically
• Minimum 2 interviews, sometimes 3 rounds
• Final round will be Face-to-Face in NYC
• Only NY / NJ local candidates will be considered
• Hybrid work - 3 days onsite per week required
