Position: Cook
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00/hour
Shift: 3rd Shift (Monday - Saturday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Status: Temp-to-Hire

The Lee Group is seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join a fast-paced popcorn manufacturing facility in Norfolk, VA. This role is essential to the production process, ensuring ingredients are prepared and cooked according to company standards to maintain quality and consistency. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a production environment and are comfortable working overnight hours.

Job Responsibilities of Cook

Prepare and cook popcorn and related products according to established recipes and production schedules.
Measure and mix ingredients to ensure consistency and quality standards are met.
Monitor cooking equipment and adjust temperatures and timing as needed.
Assist with staging ingredients and supplies for production runs.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Follow all food safety guidelines and company procedures.
Support production team with additional tasks as needed.

Job Qualifications of Cook

Previous cooking or food production experience preferred.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Reliable attendance and ability to work overnight shifts.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements of Cook

Exposure to food manufacturing environment, including heat and moving equipment.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling may be required.
Must be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
