Job TitleGeologist (Flex Staff)Job DescriptionWe are seeking Geologists to support Federal Projects with agencies such as EPA, USACE, and DOE. The Geologist independently conducts moderate to highly complex field investigations, oversees drilling operations, and collects geologic and environmental data to ensure data quality and project compliance.Job DutiesPlan and conduct geologic and environmental investigationsConduct drilling and logging for moderate to highly complex projectsLog soil/rock cores and prepare boring logs per ASTM/USCS standardsCollect and manage environmental and geotechnical samples for laboratory analysisInstall and maintain groundwater monitoring wells/instrumentationPrepare technical field notes, logs, and support documentationAttend progress meetingsPerform other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree5 years of relevant experienceEquivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.Preferred QualificationsProfessional Geologist (PG) LicenseKnowledge of Unified Soil Classification System for logging soils40‑hour OSHA Hazwoper certification with 8‑hour annual refresher training up to date8‑hour supervisory training30‑hour OSHA Construction Industry safety classCurrent CPR/FA/AED certificationSkills and AbilitiesU.S. citizenshipMust pass a federal background check and medical examinationAbility to work in the field, including long periods of standing, walking, or sittingProficiency in soil/rock logging, boring logs, and well installationsKnowledge of OSHA/HAZWOPER and environmental standardsStrong technical writing, problem‑solving, and GIS/software skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and work independently in field settings under limited supervisionStrong organizational and communication skills to work with military clients, contractors, and government teamsFederal project experience is highly desirableExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assuranceGood interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with colleagues, customers, and partnersJob Site LocationUnited States – NationwideAmount of Travel Required100%Assignment CategoryFulltime-TemporaryVisa Sponsorship AvailableNo – we will not support sponsorship, i.e. H‑1B or TN visas for this positionPay RangeMinimum: $78,624 – Maximum: $157,248Driver's License RequirementsAn appropriate and valid driver's license is required.Seeking Candidates for Future OpportunityThis is a pipeline requisition for future project hires.
