Title: Installation Technician

Duration: June 8th – Oct 26th

Pay Rate: $19–$24/hr

Location: Onsite – Based near Virginia Beach, VA with travel to Sentara Health locations across VA & NC

Schedule:

• Start time varies between 3:00 AM – 8:00 AM
• Typical schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Must-Haves:

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication skills in a hospital setting (interacting with staff, patients, and guests)
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass:
• 7‑year background check (no felonies or violent misdemeanors)
• 10‑panel drug screen
• Ability to complete onboarding requirements, including:
• Employment and education verification
• Two completed reference checks
• Required immunizations/labs (Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TB)

Plusses:

• Prior experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment
• Education or training in technical, electronics, or asset management fields
• Military technical experience
• Background in technician, break/fix, operations, logistics, production, distribution, or customer‑facing roles

Day-to-Day:

• Deploy Real‑Time Location Services (RTLS) systems at existing hospital client sites
• Tag medical equipment with RTLS stickers
• Match RTLS tags with device IDs using a mobile application
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail during tagging and data entry
• Identify which medical devices are in scope for tagging
• Communicate risks, issues, and process improvement ideas to the project lead
• Travel from the Virginia Beach area to various Sentara Health facilities as scheduled

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking an RTLS Installation Technician for a large healthcare technology deployment supporting hospital systems across Virginia and North Carolina. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented technician local to the Virginia Beach area who is comfortable traveling to regional hospital sites. The technician will support on‑site tagging, validation, and documentation of medical equipment within active clinical environments while working closely with project leadership to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout the deployment.

Travel Accommodations

• Meals: Monday–Friday, candidates may expense up to $80 per day for meals. Expenses are reimbursed weekly via expense reports.
• Drive Time: Drive time from the candidate's home to the hotel is fully compensable and will be paid in full.
• Mileage: Candidates who drive their personal vehicle will be reimbursed at $0.72 per mile.
• Hotel: IG will cover the cost of the hotel. Candidates are responsible for providing a personal card for incidental charges.

Compensation:

$19/hr to $24/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
