Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Special Education Teacher role located in Virginia Beach, VA. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering individualized education plans (Maverick Learning Plans: MLPs), teaching and supporting students with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Additional responsibilities include monitoring students' progress, collaborating with families and staff, and implementing behavioral and academic strategies tailored to each student's needs.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge in working with students with Disabilities and in Special Education
• Strong Teaching experience
• Excellent Communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and students
• Ability to design and implement personalized educational plans
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; state teaching certification is required
• Experience with autism spectrum and developmental delays is highly valuable
